Do you know what you want to do to secure your future? Are you curious about a career as Major Appliance, HVACR or Electronics Technician, but don’t know if it’s right for you?
At Bay state school of technology, we can help you to find out for yourself if these career choices are right for you.
When you visit our conveniently-located Canton Campus, you’ll be encouraged to sit in on a live class with real students and instructors. We feel that this opportunity will show you our “Hands-On” approach to technical instruction, which we’ve developed over the past 29 years. “Hands-On” means that you’ll receive about 50% of your instruction in the classroom, and the remaining 50% in the shop or lab. This way you can apply the principles you learn in the classroom in the morning, directly to the trainers in the afternoon.
If at the end of your visit, you decide that it’s not right for you, we’ll understand, and trust that the experience will be useful to you to determine where you might with to go from here. In these days of high unemployment, there are also One-Stop Career Centers strategically located throughout southern New England. These Career Centers all have specially-trained counselors whose only job is to help you get trained and back to work. We encourage you to visit your local One-Stop Career Center for help in determining your future.
If you do decide that it might be right for you, then you’ve taken the first step toward your new career.
Another thing we’ve learned since 1982 is that if you have a goal, you will be much more committed to achieving that goal, than if you have no goal. You’ll also work harder and have more satisfaction in your life. The key to this is finding a career that interests and excites you. Have you ever known someone who’s successful who does not love his work?
If you enjoy working with your hands and solving problems, a career in Major Appliance Repair, HVACR or Digital Age Technology may be just the thing you are looking for. God gives us all a gift, and it’s up to us to find it. We might be able to help you find yours.
In our Major Appliance/Basic Electricity course, you’ll learn about electricity and how it works; you’ll learn how to read a wiring diagram and how to use it to diagnose problems. You will work on real washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwave ovens and other appliances, as you learn how to repair them.
Bay State’s Domestic Refrigeration course covers the basics of refrigeration theory in terms of home refrigerators and air conditioners. You will learn about all the major components of a refrigerator and actually put them together to make your own fully-functional unit from scratch. In addition we’ll train you for the Freon Certification test, required when handling refrigerant gases.
HVACR will immerse you in the basics of larger refrigeration and cooling units, electronic controls, ice machines, heat pumps, and both Massachusetts Refrigeration and Electrical Codes.
Our Electronics Technician course features instruction in computers and networking, High-Definition TV Calibration, and will also introduce you to Renewable Energy Resources, and more.
The best thing about all of our programs is that there is no prior experience required. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to become an entry-level technician when you graduate
Our graduates go on to work all over the United States for both small and large companies. With your Bay State Tech training, you, too, might go to work for GE, Sears, Whirlpool, and more.
Your Bay State Tech training will teach you how to go from having a job to having a career. We can teach you to have a productive and rewarding life working as a technician in the Major Appliance, HVACR, or Electronics field.
