Good jobs are hard to come by these days.  We know this because we monitor and deal with the job market daily, and know its ups and downs.  So when it comes time to look for your new career, doesn’t it make sense to find a career that will actually have more jobs in the future? Of course!  And the best thing?  No Prior Experience is Necessary!

We know where the jobs are.  Projections from the Bureau of Labor Statistics for the jobs of Major Appliance Technician, HVACR Technician and Electronics Technician show job growth in all of the fields.

In addition, CareerCast.com recently released a list of the best 200 jobs for 2012, based on Income, Work Environment, Stress levels, Physical Demands, and Hiring outlook, and here’s what they found:

Doesn’t it make sense to go where the jobs are with the school that has the best industry connections to the major players?

In our Major Appliance/Basic Electricity course, you’ll learn about electricity and how it works; you’ll learn how to read a wiring diagram and how to use it to diagnose problems.  You will work on real washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwave ovens and other appliances, as you learn how to repair them.

Bay State’s Domestic Refrigeration course covers the basics of refrigeration theory in terms of home refrigerators and air conditioners.  You will learn about all the major components of a refrigerator and actually put them together to make your own fully-functional unit from scratch.  In addition we will prepare you for EPA 608 and PSA on-site testing and certification.

Commercial HVACR will immerse you in the basics of larger refrigeration and cooling units, electronic controls, ice machines, heat pumps, and more. This program prepares you to work in the commercial side of the industry and provides 100 hours of Massachusetts Refrigeration Code and 150 hours of Massachusetts Electrical Codes.

Our Electronics Technician program features instruction from Basic through Advanced Electronics, Computer Repair and Networking, Telecommunications Networks, Security and Access Systems and with the “Hands-On” training you will be able to install, test, maintain and repair electronic systems. You’ll also receive preparation for the A+ Exam and on-site ISCET testing and certification.

All of our new students receive brand new professional-quality laptop computers, and instruction on how to use them to enhance their learning experience at Bay State.
