Introduction to Basic Electricity from Bay State School of Technology is a home study course that provides an opportunity to get a jump start on a high paying job as: electrical technician, electrician, computer electronics technician, alarm security technician, appliance repair technician, or other careers that require a solid knowledge of basic electricity and electrical principles as a starting point.

The need for experienced individuals to install heating and air conditioning systems, wire homes, repair computers, maintain office building, repair appliances, install cable, and more is ever growing. What will the Student Learn?

With this online basic electricity course students will study the history of electricity, its origin, its discovery, and further development to present day. The elements of Ohms Law, namely; current, voltage and resistance, will be covered and explained. The theory behind Series and Parallel Circuits will be discussed. Electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, motors, relays, transformers, and switches along with others will be studied.

About the Bay State School of Technology

For almost 25 years, the Bay State School of Technology has been providing technology training to men and women at there school located in Canton, Massachusetts. The first full-time students were enrolled by August of 1983, and the first full-time programs started on September 12, 1983.
